Ramon Casha, 47, passed away not long ago as a result of medical complications. A true loss for Maltese society. Ramon was a remarkable man, campaigning tirelessly for civil rights over a number of years. He recently even campaigned in favour of the MAP, and found success in the banning of ‘gay conversion therapy’. He was also one of the founders of the Malta Humanist Association.
Ramon Casha was described as “an altruistic humanist who worked tirelessly for the good of the Maltese society”, and an “honest, free-thinking and a non-partisan civil society campaigner”
One could not help but admire Ramon, and he was indeed a true inspiration of mine. More people like him are needed in the world who relentlessly fight for the rights of minorities, and express their true opinions.
I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his loved ones. Ramon Casha was indeed a great man, and a major loss to Maltese Society. May his resilience and hard work inspire many others.
